The Lung Screening Scanner at Dunes Leisure Centre will be leaving Southport in mid July - so there’s still time to book your health check if you’ve been invited.
You may have seen the CT scanner unit in the carpark opposite Adventure Coast Southport on Esplanade (pictured with Matt, the Lead CT Radiographer), where the team has already carried out over 2,500 scans to support early detection of lung conditions.
Uptake for Southport and Formby has been excellent so far, with 63% of invited people already completing their lung health check.
If you’ve received an invitation but haven’t yet booked, please don’t miss this opportunity. Most people only need a quick telephone assessment/ health check, making it simple and convenient to take part.
